i have some Arctic 5 thermal paste lieing around after in re-pasted my PS3 successfully. so i was wondering how would i do it with my laptop. ive only had it since May of this year, but i want to get more performance out of the 6770m
are there videos that can show me how to re-paste on the DV7t-qe?
any helpful advice would be appreciated, thanks

I'm confused since your thread asks if there are benefits to changing the thermal paste but yet you say in the post if there are any vids or guides haha.

Of course there are benefits to changing the paste; better cooling = better performance overall, but as said in the post I linked be careful. Since you've already successfully re-pasted your PS3 you shouldn't have too much of a problem with the dv7. It's just disassembling the computer to get to the chip that's the problem. -
