Besides physically installing a new hard drive into the empty 2nd bay of my dv9207, what software adjustments will I need to make?

From the factory, the lappy came with a Seagate 120 GB, 5400 RPM hard drive, which I plan on keeping where it is (Vista Home Premium is on it). I've already filled it with photos and music, etc., so I'd like to add a Seagate 320 GB, 7200 RPM hard drive in the second hard drive bay, which came empty from the factory.

Question 1: Will there be a compatibility issue due to the size and speed differences of these two drives? Please see page 123 of this HP manual:

    http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01311536.pdf

It doesn't list any 320GB hard drives. Is the manual, dated Dec. 2007 just outdated?

Question 2: From a software standpoint, is it just plug and play? Will Vista automagically recognize it and assign it a letter? Or will I have to do all kinds of software tweaks?

I don't think you'll have any trouble, as long as you're using the correct connections (if your laptop uses SATA hard drives, use a SATA drive, etc).
There shouldn't be any compatibility problems or problems with Vista. Vista will probably recognize it and ask you to format.
