I've been investigating which notebook cooler to purchase for awhile now. One thing that concerns me, is that sometimes a notebook cooler works against the intake/cooling system of the notebook itself, and results in poor cooling.
I've been looking into the Zalman NC1000, but most of the reviews use Dell Inspirons and what not as the standard, and I haven't found any reviews on that particular cooler with regard to HP. Anyone have personal experience?
Either way, does anyone know of a highly effective notebook cooler great for specifically HP notebooks? Even more specific: dv5t or dv5z models.
Thanks!

If you take a look at most notebooks, especially dell's and HP's, they have the vents for the CPU at the back left of the notebook. The notebook cooling pads simply raise the notebook to allow it to expel hot air and bring cold air in. I purchased a targus chill pad, but the zalman's are much better from what I hear. So I recommend you purchase one of them.

I also have a targus chill pad, it is shaped somewhat like a fat x, I paid $20 for it(wait for a sale in you local computer store or get it on ebay), but the fans on my chill pad are in the middle and the pad does not really help. I would also go with the zalman ,it looks more professional also. The good thing with the targus is that you can put it on your lap, the zalman is more of a desk type.

I have an Antec Notebook cooler and it works great. The bottom of the notebook gets quite hot, and this cooler sucks the hot air out and blows it out through the side and front of the cooler. The CPU and Hard Drive temperatures both fall with the notebook cooler working.

this is a pic of under the dv5z i personally think the zalman nc2000 is perfect for it imo. If u want a smaller pad then get the nc1000, but the laptop would be slightly bigger than the cooler. -
Thanks everyone! I'm considering getting the Zalman... will wait a couple more weeks to see if I might find a deal.

np
but im still deciding on which zalman i should get for the dv5t 15.4" laptop. Should I get the zalman nc1000 or 2000. People said on newegg that the zalman nc1000 is not for a 15.4 notebook but others say its just slightly smaller than the laptop. So what would be better to get for the dv5t?
