Hey everyone, I am planning to buy a Envy Beats Edition configured to $1399. I've been waiting the past two weeks for a coupon to come out. I'm a college student and don't want to spend over $1100-$1200. I was wondering if there is going to be an coupon eligible for ENVYs coming out soon, as there hasn't been one for a while now, since the last $500 one at the beginning of Jan.
The thing is my old laptop is breaking apart and I am going to need one soon, should I just buy it or try waiting a week or two. Also the build date says March 1, so I guess they have a lot of orders right now, which is making me think a coupon isn't going to be coming out for a while. And does anyone know any other ways to get a bigger discount, I heard that some of you complained about delays and received 10-15% off or even a slice battery. And is HP updating the ENVY 14/Beats Edition anytime soon? Thanks![]()

There are rumors of an update in March or April but no one knows for sure..you can use ebates.com for another 3% cashback. I would wait for a coupon, HP usually has one every month or so

1) No one really knows about the coupons until HP puts them out, my advice is check LogicBUY - News, Reviews, Deals & Coupons for HP, Lenovo, Laptops, Videogames, Gadgets and go to slickdeals and put an auto notify whenever someone posts "HP coupon" or "HP envy"; that way those guys will do all the work for you.
2) I wouldnt put much stake in getting your laptop according to the build date, I just had one "rushed" to be built on Friday and I wont be getting it until March 1st.
3) Whether you can fanagle some kind of discount due to delays or what not is dubious because you havent ordered anything from them.
4) No info yet about an Envy refresh
5) Have you tried HP's student discount program, 10% off plus they mail you a coupon for $10 off (I know not much). -
If you need one now just buy it. By the time it gets to you it'll be a 2 weeks minimum if you custom order it (Mines gonna be shipped after 1 month). Some quick ship orders are taking long too. But when it comes you have 3 weeks to decide if you want it. Within that 3 weeks if theres an applicable coupon you can call them and ask for a refund for the amount of the discount or just return it and buy it again with the discount. They'll probably just give you the adjustment to stop you from sending it back.

, the fan stopped working a few days ago after I cleaned it, as I regularly do, with compressed air. And for the dv2490 I have I basically have to dismantle almost every part of the laptop to get to the fan, just haven't gotten around to it because of the school work. And one of the hinges is broken, mind you I take very good care of my laptops, the dell I had before this is still working fine.

Just got it down to $1260 from $1400 with my student discount, but I don't think any of the $50 off coupons are stackable with the student discount. Not bad though, I'll just wait a week and see if a coupon comes out.

I would check out the HP Business outlet. They have envy beats there, well configured, for about $700 - $900.

Just found that thread, so I guess student discounts don't stack. I think I will just tell them to cancel the student discount altogether and just give me back the difference of the $300 coupon or I am going to send it back. Would they be able to do that?
