The Infamous22 suggests the DV7T with a 9600m GT. It's portable enough to tote around.

    LOL!

Well, OK, nevermind then. DV5T w/ 9600m GT and 4GB RAM. Also 1280x 800 screen if you want to max out details and sliders in game. You could do that with 1680x1050 but not in all games. And certainly not in games that'll be out in 6 months.

Yeah, I just took a peak at the Canadian website. That's a shame. You'd think that they'd have at least one pre-configured unit with the 9600M.

    Only the DV7's come pre-configured with 9600MGT.

It's possible that one of the electronic's retailers in Canada may have a DV5 unit preconfig'd with a 9600M. Or they may be able to order one for you. Never hurts to ask a clerk.

In any event, the DV7 isn't that much more and is only ~3.5 Cm wider and ~2.5Cm deeper. Less than a kg more in weight. Plus has better airflow for the 9600M GT which is better for gaming as it would run cooler than the cramped DV5. Plus it's still portable.
