    Hello,

I'm trying to set up a power management setting for when I'm in class or in the library and need the most battery life I can get for doing nothing more than using Microsift Word 07 or OneNote, *maybe* internet access/research. I think I've got it set up pretty well, but I was wondering what I should set the maximum CPU usage to? I noticed that the "Power saver" setting has it set to 50%, can I get away with going lower?

Also, if anyone has a specific, complete setting to recommend (not just CPU usage), please share! I'm all ears :)

    Bueller? Bueller?

Surely someone can give a poor, broke, run-of-the-mill college student some advice... :p

for word processing you really dont need a fast CPU, go down lower and see where you like it set. 10% should be just fine for all that. Make it go on standy after 5 mins, hibernate after 10mins of idle, screen blank after 1-3. brightness as low as possible. if ur using wireless go to the driver settings (in device manager I would gather) and set it to the highest power management. disable all the extras u dont need like LAN and bluetooth or whatever else
