I am in the market for a 6th generation Intel I-7 laptop. I want a really clear, really bright, crisp screen image. I'm not convinced a 4K display is worth the premium pricetag so, I am shopping for a solid 15" laptop with the best Full-HD resolution or HD+ (within reason ;)).

I am not a gamer so, while an Nividia GPU would be nice, I think the more modern Intel graphics solutions would be fine for the generic video streaming, movies, and similar things. I need a bright, steady, clear image that doesn't "roll" on refreshes and has minimal glare in strong light. Real world battery life needs to be more than 3 hours as well so, high drain solutions have to be balanced against battery capacity. I am flexible on size and weight so, anything within reason will work with my lifestyle.

As a starting point for frame of reference, I'm looking at the "HP ENVY 15t Laptop, model #M9U51AV_1" which runs ~$1100. I will consider other brands but, I am pretty brand loyal to HP and Toshiba laptops in general. I can spend more within reason if needed and, obviously spending less lets me upgrade the hard drive, by more RAM, etc.

What do the RKI around here recommend?

    TIA,
    Sid
