I'm trying to get one for my brother by xmas or new years. Anyone know the best place to get one with a 60gb hd, and 1gb ram, and wireless G/bluetooth etc?

HP Website is totalling $489 for the top configuration, any way to find this for a better price? Windows live?

    Thanks :D !

i have not seen any good deals for the mini since they are so new right now. the only thing i have seen that even remotely resembles a deal is when hp threw in the gig of ram for 'free.' ....

the prices in store are not any much better than the hp website so, if i were in your shoes, i would go to the hp site and build one myself as opposed to getting one from the store. this way, you can customize it how you see fit.

if you simply want the 'base' model with no added features/components, then feel free to go to your nearest store and get one.

Costco has the Mini 1000 with the specs you mentioned. Costco comes with the hdd 60 gig too.

Just a question for MINI 1000 users.....what is it about the "irregular" hdd that everyone is complaining about?
