The Intel wireless in my dv7t doesn't like my Netgear wireless router, so I was wondering what routers other dv7 owners are using, or could recommend?

Linksys has worked well for my HP notebooks

Whats issues are you currrently having with the Netgear?

Have you tried updating your wireless cards driver and routers firmware?

There arent certain routers you need for the dv7.

Any router should work. Is the problem w/ your netgear only with the dv7, have you tested it with any other devices?

Would you like G or N?

All firmware/software up to date. I think it's just the c****y netgear router. I have to reboot the router to allow my dv7 access to the network

Umm maybe you have a defective router then...

Calm down and call Netgear. And they can help you.

Otherwise return it and buy another router from a company you feel comfortable with. Personally though I haven't had any problems with Netgear. Nor with Netgears support. However Linksys is a whole nother matter.

Both companies though produceexcellent products. I have to try Belkin though and I eventually do plan on trying one their routers in the future.

I've been using a D-Link DIR-655 for about 2 months without incident. Easy set-up, nice strong signal throughout the house, and my breath is minty fresh.

Linksys WRT310N with DD-WRT Linux firmware. Though my dv4z has a Broadcom card, matching the Broadcom radio in the Linksys.

I currently use a Linksys router, I have 2 of the WRT54G, but 1 of them died and had to have it replaced (twice actually). I ended up and going out and buying the newer 54G Linksys (looks like a food dish if you ask me) but outside of the 1 dying on me, I'm satisfied. I have a friend that swears by Airlink (you can buy those at fry's for UBER cheap) but I'm not all too sure how good their encryption algorithms are. then again, if someone really wants to get into your network, they can.
