The site worked a few minutes ago... try search for bright+blue+leds+annoyance+health+risks on Google and use "cached" link.

That article has some very interesting points. I suffer from photo phobia and severe migraines. I cannot be around flourscent lights for more then a few minutes at a time.

No wonder I've been having sleep issues. My computer has two blue LEDs that are always on, and my two external hard drives have blue LEDs as well. Very bright, and I always thought it was just me that was annoyed by them.

Good grief, my clock radio has huge bright blue LED numbers. I positioned it so it's not directly in my line-of-sight but it still lights up the room some.

Just about every new high-end PC case has blue LEDs in fans, power buttons, you name it. My brother's case is like that. Oddly enough he really wanted green LEDs. We might have to do a modding project after all.

I guess what the article is trying to say is, *any* bright light before or during sleep can affect sleep patters.

I do not have my notebook turned on when I sleep nor do I have any LEDs emitting light. My room is pitch dark when I sleep.

Sleep disorders in turn can result in a lot of health issues and not just cancer.

This article reads like some sort of UFO conspiracy paper so I'll take it with a grain of salt. I will admit that bright blue LEDs do light up the room a little too nicely and can keep me from sleeping but the resolution is as simple as turning off the device. :)

BTW, I would say that this is true for any light source not just blue LEDs
