Hello friends, I'm a bit worried because I bought an hp laptop, windows tells me it has a p4 processor but when I enter BIOS it says intel mobile celeron and it says the model is pavillion ze4300.
Does anyone knows how can I find out which processor it has really.
Thank you for everything.

try the free trial edition of Everest. or just google search CPU-Z, download the utility and check what processor you have
........................... tthough i suspect that CeleronM is a stripped down version of the Pentium M Dothan
Edit: Direct Link to CPU-Z: http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php -
Thank you man, I've just checked the everest program and it says I've an intel pentium 4 processor type, 2100 mhz, alias Northwood,A80532.
I think that would be the right info.
thanks a lot. -
yes and it also means that you need to update your bIOS as its not getting the right CPU.
google search Bios Updates, or go to the HP Site -
Do you think that upgrading my BIOS is really necessary?
-
BIOS updates are mainly recommended if there is a bug or if you want to upgrade or if there is any performance hit which can be cured by the an update.
Big hp doubt
