Does anyone know exactly what the bios setting "Stringent Security" does?

I read the documentation and i think it stores the bios passwords more securely that is no reset by removing the rtc battery. If anyone have better info please share.

    I secured my notebook with:

    Setup password
    Power on password
    Stringent security activated
DriveLock password (user pwd same as power pwd on so i don't have to type twice)
TPM module initialized + automatic backup
Credential Mgr for logon (identity protected by TPM)
Device Access Mgr to restrict access to devices for guests

I am still hesitating wether i should encrypt the harddrive with HP ProtectTools. Anyway my notebook should be quite secure for now.

Does anyone else here at notebookreview secure their notebooks, if so how?
