hey guys. i have a problem with the verisoft software that cam with my dv2500t laptop. hmm when i first bought my laptopi used it to register my fingerprints and everything was fine. however, after that i just stopped using it so cleared my identity and my fingerprints that were stored.

today i decided to start using the fingerprint reader again. when i went to "my identity" and clicked on Log on, it asked me put in my user account password. when i click next, it gets stuck for about 5-10 minutes to process my password or whatever. during those 5-10 minutes, if i click around it'll say "not responding".

anyway, after waiting for 5-10 mins it'll finally log on. after that wen i click on "register credentials and then "fingerprint authentication", it'll go to the page where i can register my fingerprints. however, it gets stuck for 5-10 mins AGAIN until i can register my fingerprints. when i swipe my finger to register, it says i can't register additional fingerprints and then when i click next it says i haven't registered any fingerprints.

why is it happening? how come i cant seem to register my fingerprint? and why does it get stuck for so long? i have tried re-installing it...even updated the driver for my fingerprint reader but to no avail. is anyone else having this problem?

hey i have exactly the same problem on my dv6500t. my fingerprint thing worked for about 4 months and then randomly stopped working. i have also updated my drivers and tried reinstalling the software. I still can not use it and i am about to give up. it says it is not working properly. and it gives me some error message about either it not being connected properly or the software is not updated. some one help me, i am out of ideas.

Same thing with me. I spoke to three different "technicians" in three different sessions and they had no clue about it. They basically gave me the standard lines like "go to BIOS and set to default" which I tried and achieved nothing. Then the other one told me to use recovery disc, which I did not do as this is not a OS problem and the recovery cannot do a thing if it is not (I think). And the third one just made a quick search and directed me to websites that pop first when you type the keywords.

I think that mine got screwed up after I updated the BIOS to 121 version?! What about you guys?
