Just wondering if anyone has been able to get bitlocker to work on their hp lappy. We I run it i get a error message stating that my BIOS does not support bit-locker.

I wonder if it enabled on the newer pre-loaded vista systems......

    Thanks

Bitlocker is a pain. The "preferred" way of using Bitlocker is with a TPM chip, which AFAIK, none of the HP consumer series notebooks have this (someone please correct me if I'm wrong). Very few current systems can actually use that feature. There is an alternate way, but you have to repartition your disk to create a separate partition for Bitlocker, and you will need to reformat and reinstall Vista. Not worth it if you ask me, but whatever.

BTW, for more on the requirements of Bitlocker, and how to use it without a TPM chip, look at: http://technet2.microsoft.com/Windo...8ae6-4957-b031-97b4d762cf311033.mspx?mfr=true
