HI ! for the "famous" problem on HP Notebook PAVILION series DV-6000 and 9000
that fault with a Black Screen on video and 3 Beeps when start-on......
There is a solution to PREVENT this damage ?
I read the problem is the bad dissipation of the hot from the nVidia Graphis Chip.
What to do? I am NOT a expert but i am a novice ..... in how mode i open my
pavlion DV-6000 and what to do to NOT damage and fault from the HOT temperature
on this chip ? insert a supplementar dissipators or ? thanks for help me. best

The heat problem that you refer to is related to a solder defect on the motherboard. Heat causes the solder to crack and then the problems begin. If you currently have no issues with your notebook and it is out of warranty, about the only things you can do are to:
(1) Update to the most current BIOS which will change the temperature/fan characteristics of your unit and hopefully help it to run cooler.
(2) Make sure you always have good ventilation space under the unit.
(3) Clean the internals (vents, fan, etc ) if you know how.
See here:
If/when the problems begin in your unit, there are only two possible solutions:
(1) Replace the motherboard or
(2) Try the reflow technique used to essentially melt the solder and close the crack.
After the problems begin, a quick way to determine if the unit is affected by this specific issue is to put the unit in a freezer for 45 minutes or so. The cold temp will close the gap and your unit may BOOT. Ive now done this on two afflicted units to confirm the problem without damaging the units further. Sounds nuts I know, but it works.
Hope that helps. Best of luck
