When i first start my laptop up it just sits at a black screen and I have waited as long as 10 minutes, but it doesn't do anything. So I have to hold in the power to get it to shut off. Then i turn it on again and it comes to the Windows did not shut down properly, blah blah blah, and I just hit enter on Start Windows Normally and the computer starts up fine and goes right into vista.

Can anyone help me on what may be causing the problem, or why it may be doing this?

Thanks for any and all help!
