I just got a dv6t-7000QE. It has the 650m 2GB if that matters.

I had to do a minimal recovery image after I messed up my partitions, so that is what I currently have for HP stuff installed.

Anyway, with the default power options, when I leave my laptop open for a while the screen turns off (as it should). However when I touch the touchpad or press the keyboard to use it again, it is unresponsive. The screen turns "on" because it looks like it is lit, though it is black.

The only solution when it happens is to close the lid, wait for it to sleep, and open it back up. It's slightly annoying.

Anyone have this problem? Is there a video driver update to fix it? Anything?

Try using the beta 304.79 drivers from NVIDIA and see if it helps.
