I can't resume from sleep, as the screen is blank. Fan is on and the secondary HDD starts.

I don't know but this may have been caused due to SSD tweaks, but I've done them strictly according to the guides, so I doubt they are the cause.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

i often get that too. you can try doing this.

Press WINDOWS Key once but surely. Then hit right (>) 4 or more times. Then hit enter. This will bring your laptop back to sleep. Then wake it up again. Your screen should come back on by now.
If it still remains black, just do the repeat the steps above and you'll definitely get it in the 2nd time. Nv had to do it more than twice in a row.

May not be a permanent solution, but nonetheless beats restarting and closing all your applications. Hope this helps. Good Luck!

Yeah, I've had the same problem, though recently it's gotten worse... it happens far more frequently after resuming from sleep, and I can't seem to get it to sleep/wake up again, forcing me to restart the machine.

I get the black screen sometimes when resuming from sleep and I do NOT use automatic switching. I'm using just the Intel graphics. If I want to switch I do it manually. I used to do automatic switching and it did seem like I got more black screens then than I do now.
