This is an HP Pavillion dv4-2145dx running Windows 7. The owner complained that it was completely dead. Upon inspection I found that the charge light would blink when plugged in with the power cord. I verifed the power cord/charger is good. Pressing the power button only results in the lights on the keyboard lighting for a second, then nothing. I found that the plug (dc jack) was pretty sloppy, so I replaced the power jack cable harness to no avail. I still only get the blinking charge light on the front. If I remove the battery and plug it in I get nothing, not even the blinking charge light. Any ideas? I fear it may be a motheboard issue.

    Thanks.
