    Hi guys,

I have HP nx 6110 and the screen is blinking sometimes.First it was ok(every maybe 30 min. maybe) but now it is making too much. When i push the screen and pull to myself,it stops and after some time later it starts again.I have to find the right point to stop it everytime.

Any of you had this problem and tried to fix?I'm thinking to open and check the cables but i'm afraiding to make mistake!

PS:If i dont do anything,do you think the screen will die 1 day?

By blinking do you mean that the backlight is going on and off? It could be an intermittent connection with the inverter cable. Check that the cable is not getting pinched anywhere and that the plugs are securely attached. You will probably have to remove the power button cover and the screen bezel to access the cable, if you don't know how go to the support section on HP's website and look up the service manual for your computer.

Will it die? If the wire is getting pinched somewhere it will eventually break. On my old HP Omnibook XE3 the screen started showing strange colours. At first moving the screen back and forth would fix it but it got worse until no amount of fiddling would get the colours right. Upon examining the video cable I found that two of the wires had broken. When I found out how much a replacement cable would cost  I spliced the broken wires back together and hoped for the best. Fortunately that laptop still works today.

yes the backlight is going on and off,and sometimes i hear something like "trrrrrr" at the screen.I thought about cable is getting pinched somewhere but i really afriad to open and make some misstake!

I'm thinking to buy new ram and hdd for the labtop,so i'll try to check screen at that time!Normally it is ok for me that it blinks sometimes but i started to worry if suddenly the screen go forever!
