Which bloatware can I delete on the HDV6000 series with out deleting something that I should not of taken off....A list or picture of how too will be greatful...thanks

You can delete all the game trials and antivirus trials.
Control Panel > Add/Remove Programs > Remove -
I'd really recommend a reformat if you're serious about getting rid of all the pre-installed junk.
-
Using the recovery partition/disks just re-installs the junkware. That's not a feasible option for regular people who just bought new Pavilions until they can get ahold of another version of Vista.
I'm curious about the following:
HP Easy Setup - Core
HP Easy Setup - Frontend
HP Connections
HP Customer Experience Enhancements
HP Wireless Assistant
What exactly do these things do? If I uninstall them, I won't lose anything serious, will I?
Like, the Wireless Assistant... correct me if i'm wrong, but doesn't Vista itself list all the available wireless connections? You just go to "Connect To" and pick which one you want, and bang you're connected, no fuss. So why do I need HP's Assistant? Does it do something else I'm missing here???
Also, all the Roxio programs, I'm torn on whether to delete them or not. I mean, you can burn CDs (data and music) right through Windows, so it doesn't seem necessary, but what about DVD burning? I dunno if Windows has any built in. Am i really losing anything by ditching it? -
It is easier to reformat and reinstall the OS -
I used recovery dvds to reinstall, but it installed OS along with bloatware and there don't seem to be any option to choose. So, how do you do a clean install using recovery disks.
-
you can't, to my knowledge. Which is why i am alwasy befuddled when people say to do a clean install.
-
METROMAN: I've removed connections and disabled enhancements.
OP: If you go into the startup configuration, you will see detailed information as to what ships with the VISTA OS. search the forums, there are about a dozen threads on this. There is not ONE thread that will help you, but together you will find what others have successfully disabled and/or removed.
Remove the norton trial and use the norton cleaner(from norton) and you should see a performance increase, unless you plan on buying it. -
