Today, I experienced the Vista blue screen yet again...apparently it just decided to "pop" up out of thin air while I was listening to music. I was using Winamp to play my songs and the monitor itself had turned off from lack of activity, then all of the sudden I hear this screeching and *pop* blue screen. I know now there is no problem with my registry as I did a clean install and only have Winamp, MS Office and other basic programs on my computer. After it rebooted I found no trace of the the error in the log as well although it definitely occurred. If anyone would feel inclined to put their input or thought into this situation please feel free to help out.
P.S.The blue screen also disappeared as quickly as it came, so i could not see what kind of driver or hardware failure it was.

No, Although my tag still says I'm upgrading to 3 gb, I still haven't gotten around to it. I haven't meddled at all with any internal components of my laptop.

First thing to do is turn off (uncheck) automatically restart under startup and recovery and reproduce the BSOD again. Other then running diags we won't know of it was hardware or a driver.

Disable auto restart first and just use your computer again in a similiar way as before to try to reproduce, but this time have it stop at the BSOD and not reboot.

Search in the start menu and look for "reliability" and open that up (I think it's the "performance and reliability center") This will give you a log of the problems your system has had and potentially what caused it. Poke around in there.
