So my Blue Tooth device seems to have disappeared. I use it seldomly so I know it worked in the past, and I know it doesn't work now.

Not sure how or when this problem started. No luck from HPsupport. Anybody here have a clue how to fix the prob?

TIA Everyone for the kind help,

    Mike

Activate the bluetooth/wireless switch. Re-install the driver.

It seems that the bluetooth device is often not detected in HP computers...I've got the similar problem. Tried to solve it with different methods but so far the problem still exists.

The sad part about HP and their drivers is that they are never up to date. You always have to find out what the actual hardware is and go find the updated drivers yourself.

Is your laptop still under warranty? I know that I had a problem with my wireless/bluetooth card, except it was the opposite for me, wireless didn't work but bluetooth did. If your laptop is still under warranty then try the steps that Teraforce mentions, and if it still doesn't work call back HP and they will send you out the bluetooth/wireless card. In my situation, it ended up being the motherboard that needed to be replaced and not the card, but they couldn't tell that until I replaced the card and it didn't work. I eventually sent my laptop in for repair and that's when they noticed it was the motherboard in the laptop that was the problem. Of course I'm not saying that's the problem with yours, I just thought I would share a similar experience.

Big Big BIG THANK YOU to TeraForce!! That only took me about 5 minutes to fix my Bluetooth. Longer than I waited on hold for HP Support and they said I'd have to send in my laptop because they couldn't figure out the problem!

    Thanks Again TeraForce, you rock!!

PS I'm online via the BT DUN on my new VZ Pearl, I Love it!
