I have a Compaq Presario 2200. Half the time I disconnect the power cable, I get a Blue screen with the message "IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL". What should I do?

Set the option so that it doesn't reboot automatically after the BSOD, so that you can see what device driver it was which failed at the BSOD. There will be a message with the BSOD which indicates what application was running that caused the failure. This is frequently a device driver of some sort.

Then, either roll back, or update the device driver from my computer->hardware->device drivers.

I'm pretty sure the drivers are up to date. I recently reformatted and reinstalled windows, and downloaded a bunch of drivers from microsoft while setting up. How do I set it so that it does not automatically reboot?

Disabling auto rebooting when the BSOD appears:

    1. Right click "My Computer" and select "Properties"
    2. Select the "Advanced" tab (XP) or "Advanced System Settings" (Vista)
    3. Under "Startup and Recovery" click the "Settings" button
    4. In the window that opens, uncheck "Automatically restart" under "System Failure"
    5. Click "Ok" to close the window and then click "Ok" again to close the Properties panel for My Computer.
