My system just restarted suddenly. I missed it as i was away but Windows reported an abrupt error. I know for sure that the HP Health center was running and when the system rebooted it showed the error as 'Bluescreen'. Is it the dreaded Bluescreen of death that I am looking at?

Is the computer working fine? If yes, then don't worry about it.

I can't believe you don't know what a BSOD looks like.

I have had it many times with XP and 98. Should look pretty much similar to that I know. Just that I am still confused why it restarted abruptly. The Notebook is running fine. Thanks for the help.

That is the beauty of Windows! Works fine, then crashes, then works fine, then gives you problems, then works fine, then crashed, then works fine............ :)

I recently have same problem. When HP health check came on for a minute, then my laptop (HP DV2550SE) gave me blue screen then restarted windows by itslef. I tried to delete "help and support" and reinstalled it. It still gave me blue screen. Then I recovered my laptop to factory settings by clicking F11, and I still have blue screen. So I wonder what did u do in the end or any other suggestions? Thanks
