According to the DV2000 series maintenance & service guide found here: http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c01035657.pdf , the part number for the bluetooth/cable module is 397923-002.
HP is known to include a whitelist in the bios which will not allow using a non-listed card even if it physically fits the hardware. There are ways to overcome those limits by editing the bios file and flashing however it is a risky step, so I would stick with trying to find the exact module number.

    Thank you for your reply.

I will be getting that bluetooth module, but sadly it does not include the cable. So I was wondering if the cable posted above, would work properly in the DV2000 with the above mentioned cable. So basically, the actually module itself will be purchases from HP, but the cable itself I will order from ebay.

    Any ideas? Thanks much.

The cable should work as long as it work with the bluetooth module.
