    Hi,

I have had my HP L200 notebook for about two years now. I have finally decided to figure out how to use the Bluetooth feature on my notebook, however, when I try to connect to my Blackberry it asks for my computers bluetooth Pin #. I do not know this nor do I remember setting one up three years ago [but I tried everything it could have been if I did set one up then]. Is there a default HP Pin code? If not is there any way I can find this code? I tried to call HP Customer Service but since my warranty is up they won't help me unless I pay $50. I've also done a lot of googling and searching on my computer for a how-to with no luck!

    Help! Please?
    Tammy

The bluetooth pin shouldn't be a problem. Did you try without it or just enter 1234? the purpose of the bluetooth pin is to recognize the device you are connecting that is you will have to enter the same pin on the other device. You can have as many pin codes as devices you have, so I don't think this is a problem.

btw, you mean HP L2000, right?

Oh wow I am definitely very dense. I thought each bluetooth device had a specific password associated with it [IE in order for my blackberry to connect to my laptop I have to put in the password for the laptop]. I tried it using the same pin code for both devices and it worked. Thanks so much for your help, I have quite literally been trying to figure this out for over a week before I caved and posted here, haha.

    And yes I missed a 0, I meant HP L2000 :).

    Thanks again.
