    hi folks,

I have upgraded vista in my tablet pc TC4200 recently, and all are working well including the bluetooth. however, i'm facing a problem with the bluetooth stereo audio (i.e. A2DP) connection, whenever I connect my iTech Blueband (which supports A2DP profile) to my tablet, the connection is fine (shows as connected) until some audio is being played (either system audio or mp3 playback). I can hear 1 sec of audio playback via my iTech Blueband, but afterwhich, I hear nothing. From the bluetooth window Ican still see the bluetooth connection is still alive but there's simply no audio being streamed other than the first 1 second of the playback.

is there something wrong with the driver?

Sounds like your device didn't get properly paired. Make sure you pair the device, so that you don't get the random 1 second of sound. Make sure the batteries are fully charged as well...

unfortunately, it has been paired properly (or at least I can see the status of the connection as connected). the battery are also fully charged :(

also, only the 1st second of playback can be heard through the bluetooth headset, the rest are cut off although the bluetooth connection still show 'connected', when I look at the bluetooth headset, it's off, so it looks like somekind of fault happening.

It's been a long time since I've played with stereo Bluetooth headsets but IIRC you have to make sure they're paired in A2DP mode and unless both the headset and transceiver are Bluetooth 2.0 you won't be able to use the headset's microphone while in A2DP mode. What a mess. If your device doesn't have a mic then you should be able to set the proper mode and be all set.

afaik, you dont' need Bluetooth 2.0 for A2DP, why because I had tried HT820 (which is 1.2) on my tablet TC4200 (which is also 1.2) before and it works great. Now I have switched to iTech Blueband (which is also 1.2) it doesn't work well at all in Vista. Yes I have paired them and chose the right service (i.e. A2DP or stereo headset) for the connection.

looks like I need to dump the iTech headset, but I want to see if it's true or it's just my set that's problematic.
