I just bought a Patriot SATA III SSD (120GB) to install in my HP HDX 16
Smooth installation with Windows 7 Enterprise edition 64 bit.
But after complete the installation. It just hang on the prepared desktop icon screen.

I give the SSD to one of friend's Acer laptop(bought on last year). Nothing wrong with it.

I have update my HP HDX16 laptop to the latest bios and all drivers.
I am wondering maybe my oldies does not support SATAIII.

    Need your help and opinion.
    Thanks.

You might need to create a special version of Win 7 install that injects the latest drivers for the SSD

That looks like a driver error. Did you install Intel's RST? See if you can boot in safe mode.
