    Hey guys,

I just bought the 14" HP Laptop that Bestbuy has for $799. I was looking at all their cases and I asked them if they can remove the display model of the laptop so I can find a case that fits, but they said no! So I picked a case that looked like it would fit and the sales person said "no, it won't fit. the laptop will move around too much" So besides being pissed that they wouldn't let me use the display model to find a case, all the cases I did pick they said wouldn't fit.
So my questions is, which case should I get?? Will the laptop fit in any case that says up to 15" or will it be too big? I can't seem to find ANY cases that says they're made for a 14" laptop. Any help would be great!!

    Thanks guys,

I would personally recommend a case from SFBags, they make some high quality stuff...I keep buying from them...! Plus, they make cases of all sizes and the list what would be compatible with your notebook. Everything I've bought has been a good fit.

I have destroyed two HP backpacks, cheap junk. I love LowePro bags, but am waiting until I can afford one. I have found a good value in the Eddie Baur bags they sell at Target. Pretty good bags at a good price. I bought a backpack and love it, no problems yet. Take your laptop in and try them out.

Yeah - they also have those vintage ones, right? Like with the old cereal box logos?

nice looking case but it doesn't really look like it would protect a laptop very well. Looks like it would only protect it from getting scratched. I want something that can get banged around (not that I plan on banging it around, but just in case)
I would also like a case that could fit my power adapter/mouse/etc...

Well, there's the matching messenger bag that received excellent reviews:

And if you want a backpack:

    http://www.amazon.com/Targus-CVR600...1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1204917074&sr=8-1

I can't believe the bp is on Amazon for $19.99 now - it was $60 when I bought it 2 or 3 years ago. I like it, because it has a padded pouch with a velcro strap to put your laptop in for protection.

Regardless, I would still get a sleeve for scratch protection and the one I mentioned is pretty tight.

    Hey Jong81,

I like this case alot, and the price is great BUT will it fit my 14 inch laptop? It says it's made for a 15 inch, and it looks like all the reviewers have a 15 inch laptop.

No idea - I just like shopping for people - better than spending my own money. However, if you get the sleeve with it, it will definitely be snug enough. I'm actually considering the 15" Belkin bag to go with the 14" sleeve I bought - it's just nice to have the extra protection.

As far as fit, it all depends on the manufacturer. One person did write:

"I bought this for my 14.1" Acer. I wanted something with a little room left and it was hard finding a good priced bag that was smaller. So far I really like it. Especially the compartments for pens, CDs, etc."

It has really good reviews and Amazon has a really good return policy and it's only $18. Maybe you could find it in a local store to check it out?
