I just received my E14 yesterday and everything is fine with it but it seems the computer is not recognizing the battery. After plugging the laptop in and hovering over the battery icon on the task bar it says that no batteries are present in slot 1 or slot 2. I have taken it out and reinserted the battery multiple times with no luck. The computer is acting as if there is no battery at all, after I disconnect the computer from the A/C power source it shuts off. This problem is being seen with a standard 8 cell battery.
Before I contacted HP Support and began that process I was just wondering if this was a common problem or if maybe a work around existed.
