    Hello everybody!
I have just bought a new customized zt3000 notebook directly from the HP web site. After 2 weeks, I noticed that I'am having a power/battery problem. The problem is: imagine that the AC adapter is plugged in the notebook ALL the time. Well, the battery charges untill it reaches around 100%, so far so good. After that, when the charging procedure terminates, the notebook stop to charge the battery, and start to discharge it, and when the battery is almost dyeing, the AC adpater starts to charge the battery, and the cycle continues on and on, EVEN the AC adapter was always plugged. We can conclude that this is not a AC adapter problem, since I can charge the battery, and this is not a Windows and/or driver problem, since this still happens with the notebook turned off, and closed.
I'm not really shure if the BIOS works when the notebook is off, but I already did a BIOS update, but the problem continues. I even did the "battery calibration" thing from BIOS, but it not worked at all.

I'm really worried, and anxious to solve this problem because now I'm traveling and I will just come back to USA in January 11.

I'm really disapointed with HP, this notebook is so new... it seems that they don't have a "factory test check-list".... it's a shame...

I think that the problem is either in the battery chip, or in other chip inside the notebook.

Please, does anyone have a clue, or have ever had this problem?

I apreciate any type of help!

    Thank you very much!
