First of all thanks for helping me in past. Right now I am using Dv2000T (CTO) notebook since form last November and I have to admit that this laptop is one of the beautiful laptop that I have ever owned. However today I have noticed two bright spots on my screen which can be seen from only certain angles and this is the first time it happened to screen. so I don't know how much should I be worried about this issue and will it be covered under warranty? I will appreciate any help and suggestions.

    Thanks

I have the same problem. Did Hp resolve this for you? I sent in my computer because of different problems and I also mentioned this. I hope they fix it.

Sounds like you gents have stuck pixels which, unfortunately, really aren't so very uncommon.

Fortunately HP replaced the notebook with DV2500T because when I sent the old one for service, the screens were in back order. Now warranty does cover the bright spot which they call it sunspot and they have to replace it with the new screen. now if the same thing happens to you then I would ask for an replacement or something. However HP Customer Case was very helpful but I guess it depends on who do you get. I hope that helps. If you have any question feel free to ask.

Sunspots or brightspots are similar to the effects of pressure marks on an LCD, except they are caused by the manufacturing process. They span multiple pixels (which generally all work but are washed out [because the pixel cells aren't uniform in depth], as if a certain area of the screen has high contrast).
