I just received my dv6tqe from repair and everything that was supposed to be repaired was, but now there's a problem with the brightness. Whenever I change my tab or window the brightness will gradually get brighter or dimmer without me doing anything.

    It is called Vari-Bright
    CCC-Power-Vari bright (iirc)

Disable it and you should be fine

I'm seeing that vari-bright is found under powerplay but under that tab I only have the option to enable or disable powerplay, no option for vari-bright.

right click desktop and go to graphic properties, on the "Power" tab to the left and make sure that "power conservation features"are turned off. make sure that you do it for both plugged in and battery power sources.
