    Anyone know's who makes HP brightview LCD's?

    l don't know but l can tell you the brightview lcds suck! l had a 15.4" Brightview with my V4000T (Pentium M 760, 1gb, x700 etc..) and unless i was directly in front of the screen everything would become too dark and unreadable.

    Not all Brightviews suck. The one in my Compaq was manufactured by LG and has very good viewing angles and is evenly bright.

    They might also use Samsung as another source, but I'm not too sure about that.

    Hi All,
    I don't have that problem with mine and I have rarely had to kick up the birghtness setting to accomadate changes in the ambient lighting. Also my viewing angle is really pretty good. I have had this machine for 3 months and am still very happy with it.
