I saw the brightview screens in the store and I think they are very pretty, but I've never used one. I've read that these screens can be hard on the eyes for reading text. I do a great deal of reading and typing on my laptop--sometimes for several hours. I don't play games or do anything with photos. Would Matte be better or is Brightview still a good choice.

Eventhough the Brightview screens are very reflective, the greater brightness more than compensates IMO. I've been using HP's brightview for more than a year now and I prefer it to the matte (I spend lots of hours reading and writing on it).
Maybe the real choice is widescreen or not? -
Brightview screen for extended reading??
