    Hey everyone,

I am in the market for a pretty high end laptop. I have seen the HP machines in the stores and am going back and forth between Dell(With 20% discount), ABS Computer Mayhem G3, and HP zd7000. It will primarily be used to graphics stuff, and I imagine I will end up playing lots of games on it. I have a nice big desktop, just wanted something portable that I can shift around my house easily. I will not be carrying it into work everyday. *I would if I could*.

My question is this now, I have seen and love the picture of the Brightview screens, but I am concerned with the glare. I wanted tog et some comments on how they are in normal use situations. For the most part I will be in my basement, lighting controlled, but I also will have it in my front room sometimes. I just wondered if there were many people that have regretted getting the brightview models.

    Thanks for any input!
    Tony

The BrightView doesn't bother me much at all. It's a pyschological thing in the end. If you let your eye focus on the reflection that exist in the screen it will distract you. If you focus on the content of the screen and what you're working on / watching then you'll enjoy the glorious colors and brightness.

By the way, the HP zd8000 is about to be released, so wait for that to hit the shelves and see what it offers [ ;)]
