    Hi,

I am trying to help my sister with her laptop, she has a HP Dv6000z, and the speakers don't work... But the head phone jacks do. I have tried everything I can think of to fix this, update MS drivers, got updates from HP, even restored the laptop to factory and they still don't work. Does anyone else have this problem? I am really stuck here...

I also tried restarting Windows Audio Service, in services.msc - didn't work either.

    Thanks,

    Brandon

If it didn't work after a factory recovery, they are broken.
