I have a Hp Pavilion zd8000 laptop. It was working fine until i had to replace the battery bay as the battery wouldn't stay. After this happened a few more problems occured. Basically the laptop has 3 fans and it went down to 2 only working. What happens is the laptop boots up working just fine then after a short while the keyboard no longer works. I put this down to an over heating issue, so I ordered 2 2nd hand fans. I have replaced the fans, although only one seemed broken (broken cable). Now I have 2 fans working, the one not working is the central fan which looks fine and has no evidence to suggest why it doesnt work. I had hung my hopes on replacing these fans to fixing my keyboard.

Can anyone help me as to why the keyboard will work for a 10-20 min period and then just becomes inactive. I restart the comp but unless i leave it a while when i turn it on still doens't work.

Also my computer won't actually restart. I can turn it off and if i press restart it just turns off and i have to unplug it and take the battery out to get the thing back on.

I will be happy to give more information if anyone can help. I really appreciate anyones help.

    thanks
