    Hi, Everone
my name is Emory and wanted to say hi.
I have a question for those that are smarter than I am.
I have a compaq V5000 laptop. My granddaughter brrowed it over the weekend and she brought it back with the USB port broken on it. it has 2 ports one on top of the other and the center seperator is broken, it can not be used anymore.
so My question is will this work so I can have USB?

if its still under warranty, id give hp a call and see if they are willing to do anything for it. your simple and best alternative would be an express card. if the laptop is mostly stationary, you can get a usb hub too. it will use up 1 good port but can give you many more. 4-7 extra ports i believe.

as I said in my Post.
The 2 ports that I have (USB) are broken.
It is not under warrenty, I was wanting to know if this express card with USB would work in my express card slot?

oops, i may have over read that. that card should work fine if your computer has that express slot. double check hp's support site to make sure that your model has that express slot. other than that, it should work fine. :)
