wow, that does look nice and that's ingenuity for ya', some people might have a little too much time on their hands, but you can never knock someone using it to be creative.

When your in the field, it doesn't take that long. Took about 3 hours total to get it right... but for other people to do the same thing.. I wouldn't know how long it would take to grasp the concept.. *shrugs*

It looks really good, I am very very impressed by the results. I thought the DV1000s already looked very sexy, but the job you did on it was absolutly spectacular!!! Keep up the good work and I'd love it if you could do your technique on some other notebooks and show us the results. :)

Wow! I wish I could do stuff like that to my notebooks! Looks great, but one question, how much does your notebook weigh now? :p

Sure, I would love to make a tutorial. I'll see if I can sit down and write one up.

As for the weight, the Brushed Aluminum Adhesive is really thin, it's almost half of the thickness of Aluminum foil you find from your kitchen. Aluminum is a light weight alloy, so it barely adds any weight at all..

That's good to hear! I thought that the aluminum would add like a pound or two to the overall weight of the notebook; I guess not though :p

That is absolutely gorgeous! Sure makes the dv1000 look and seem a heck of a lot more professional and beautiful.
