My spacebar (and surrounding keys) was jacked up on one side of the computer and I went to Compusa, Bestbuy, and I noticed the same on some of the display models (displays are usually the first production/shipments). There was also a rattle sound when I typed on the keyboard. I return my computer and I got one with a new F.19 bios on it (not even on the website yet, the bios can mute the volume clicks).

The keyboard arrows keys letter/signs look different and the spacebar is in alignment with the case (looking at the spacebar at eye level). The feel of the keyboard is much better and smother, it looks like they had problems with their keyboards and are using a different one now. The people at CircuitCity tried to give me a hard time because I was returning this defect junk. This new one has some issues too with backlighting on the lower edges and uneven touchpad buttons. It looks like the are having build quality problems with this new design.

I had a toshiba just before getting this HP model and even though the look was boring/not flash, the build quality was excellent. If it wasn't for the dead pixel on the display and it being a discontinued model, I would be still using that computer.
