I bought a HP dv2324 just yesterday evening. It came with Vista Home Premium. I started it and it took more that an hour to setup and configurations !! It was okey...I knew I would have to suffer with Vista. But at the last when everything went fine, the built-in camera remained off. I tried to search the camera driver/software. The camera driver is there and in enabled status but I couldn't find any camera software. I found even no function button on keyboard. Is the camera defective then? Would anybody advise please?
Thanks in advance.

What did you use to test the webcam? Go to the Control Panel -> Scanner and Camera
Is it listed there?
You can download the drivers from the HP webpage and install it. -
Thanks for your info. I checked Control Panel -> Scanner and Camera folder. Nothing is being shown. Downloaded compatible driver from HP site, applied but couldn't suceed. Isn't there any camera handling s/w apart from driver?

The official software for the webcam is Quickplay.
You have to test it using this software.
