i have a ze4610us laptop, since the motherboard was nearly shot. i found a replacement MoBo on ebay but this one has a built in wireless card. it was the broadcomm 54G. How do you exactly setup it up? it finds my router but it only wants to connect at 2mbps or 5.5mbps. MY Dlink router is at 54G speeds. Do i need to UNCHECK 'let windows manage my wireless connection'? under the properties tab for this wireless card i have it set for 'best speeds'. if i change it to '54' then it looses connection. any ideas to try?

Have you tried installing the newest drivers/software from Broadcomm?

All you have to do is update the drivers and install the software for it.

ok i updated the driver and installed the utility and that did it. i thought since it was an internal wireless card that the windows internet connection util. controlled it. Now i need to figure out how to disable the windows wireless icon in the tray. its annoying to have both icons.

well i cant get this thing to surf on the Dlink di-524 at home. its connected and has a decent signal. I use WEP so in the past i just entered WEP keys but here it only asks for a network key. i dont understand by this wont surf any webpages when it shows it connected. at first it gave me this off the wall IP address. I even told me router the the MAC address of the W450 card to be 192.168.0.102 and it gave it some way out in left field so then i manually entered the above ip but still doesnt let me surf. any ideas? it worked on my works router but WEP is off there.

on the antenna wires of the internal card. where do they end at? when i switched the motherboard over, the antenna wires stopped at the hinges. so i tucked them inside the hinge. is that correct or are they suppose to go up inside the LCD?
