    Hey guys
I'm new to laptops and would like some help.

I'm a student and need for a good laptop for
just the basic's(word, internet and movies).

    My budget is 800.

    Os Vista.

I can buy HP 6730s and want to know if it's good for my needs.

    It has :

    Processor - Intel Core2 Duo T5870 2.0 GHz.

    Memory - 2GB DDR2 667 MHz (can upgrade to 4)

    Graphic - ATI Mobility Radeon HD3430 256MB.

    HDD - 160GB SATA 7200rpm (don't need more).

I will need 4-5 hours of battery life ( is 8-cell Li-Ion Battery Internal good ?).

I'm going to walk with it but stil want a 15.4" scren.

Is the HP 6730s good for me ?

Does anyone who bought it (I saw some posts) can comment ?

Will be happy for an advice on other laptop's.
    Thank you for your attention.

    And have happy new year.

Dell D630 from the Dell Outlet with the modular battery could work. Plus it's better built with a better warranty/support. You may wish to consider the FAQ and post over there.
