I've been using my HP laptop for about a year and since a couple of months ago, the QUICKPLAY buttons and the scroll-down on the mouse pad are not working at all. This has been bugging me so much because I really liked both of those functions and I'm completely lost about what caused them to be disabled. Does anyone have idea what's going on with this laptop??
Is there a way to fix this?
Thank you for taking time to read this!
I'd really appreciate any advice you can give me ;)

Have you tried reinstalling the touchpad and the quickplay feature?

I had that happen before with my dv1000.

All I had to do was reinstall the drivers.

Thank you both for your replies :)
But could you explain in more details how to reinstall the drivers??
Sorry, I'm not very familiar with this stuff

You can download it from HP's website if you do not have the drivers disc. It is an .exe file. Double click and the rest is self explanitory.

As ZaZ said, simply run the install files. You can find the needed drivers here Alternatively, you can go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs, find the touchpad and the quickplay, uninstall them, and restart. Windows will find the touchpad and install default drivers but you will have to install the quickplay buttons yourself as well as the new touchpad drivers if you want the extra options.
