HP's US site is flaky right now (at least the server which has the stuff I need), however I pulled a link off the Canadian page:

    http://www.hp.ca/catalog/accessories/showAccessories.php?id=4&lang=en&cat=6

Basically, for the NC8430, there are 3 stations available: A basic one with your normal port replication stuff (plus a DVI Port), an Advanced one that I believe is the same but comes with a "Multibay" port os something like that -- basically a slot you can use to add a HDD or CD-ROM to the Station, and a NAS one that I guess is meant for office LANs for backing up.

I have the basic Dock with a notebook stand. They work as advertised... is there anything in particular your looking for?

There is some information about it on HP's site (when that section is up). I also believe there is another family of docking stations but haven't really looked at those (not compatible with my lappy).

In a nutshell, best way to find out is to go to the HP site, find the laptop your looking for and click on the Options link on the product brief. It'll give you the basics, and you can then search for the part number on google for any other details.

There seems to be two different model numbers for the advanced version.

Might be (I think thats an old part number). The one I bought was EN488UT (which is what HP lists on their site).

I'm wondering if there any difference between the two models. The part number I listed seem to be much cheaper. I think the new part number has the SMART AC adapter.
