    Buying Hp/Compaq

    Hey I was looking on the canadian hp/compaq website for a laptop and they have hardly any intel core duo based laptops and no customizable laptops. I checked on the US website and they have much better selection. Is there anyway to get the us selection in Canada?

    You could have it shipped to the US and pick it up or have it sent to you. HP won't ship it to Canada. Plus I doubt they accept a Canadian Bank issued credit card. There are some US sites like TigerDirect or eCost which ship to Canada. If you buy in the US you may have warranty issues.

    buy from CompuSmart.com (or .ca i forgot which, just search on Google). They're the most comprehensive dealer of the HP business class Compaqs in Canada. Some models you have to find in the search rather than just viewing all the notebooks. For example, for the nc8430, theres probably 10-20 different configurations including all the Core 2 Duo configs. Cheers.
