    Hi all
I have a Pavilion notebook dv6133 with 6510Go.I sent it once to HP to get it repeared because of the not working wireless. They replaced the mainboard and it works now.BUT I am having another problem now, the notebook makes a wierd noise when it works at full speed.
it has turion tl-50 with 1.6Ghz.when it runs on powersave mode 800Mhz i dont hear it,but when it switches to max speed 1.6Ghz the buzzing starts IMMEDIATLY and disappears IMMEDIATLY when i switch it back to 800MHZ.Its annoying.its enough to be in the room to be able to hear it.
I dont know how to discribe the noise, its buzzing, a little bit like beeping.I called the hotline, but there was someone really wierd,he wanted to convince me that the CPU is ALWAYS working at full speed regardless if its Mobile or not and the only thing i see is how much is the cpu loaded. He started to talk about FSB and stuff, but as far as I know AMD doesnt use this termini. He even ignored me when I told him about cool&quiet.
I tried changing the Powerscheme with Windows's powerscheme (Desktop / Portable) and with Rmclock and checking it with cpuz.
In the internet i found a similar problem about c2d cpu.
Is this noise normal?doees everybody else with same model having it? I took a look at higher-end models with AMD-cpu and i didnt get the noise.
    I thank you very much
    Sorry for my english

Based on your description, it sounds like you're experiencing CPU whine. It happens more often with Intels than AMDs, but there is no real fix for it.

    its almost the same noise.
Isnt there any solutions? I really dont remebmer getting the noise before I had it sent.
Cant HP help me in anyway? Replace it or else?
    How should I behave?
    its really annoying.

CPU whine is known by manufacturers to exist, but its hardly reason enough for them to fix it by replacing the motherboard (often $250+ value) or CPU. Needless to say, its not covered under warranty.

One of the suspected causes is the C3 sleep state that the CPU sometimes enters. Search for it in the BIOS and disable it.

You can also try adjusting CPU voltages, but this an unreliable fix that is not recommended for anybody but advanced users.

    Hallo
Thank you all for the answers
Unfortunatlly this piece of hardware is not undervoltable. Its gets really unstable and it shows artifacts regardless of undervolting setting,so this solution is not adaptible.
I didnt have this whining before sending it, isnt this reasonable enough to make them do something?
    thank you very much

Download RMclock (not to undervolt) but to disable the sleep states.
