As soon as HP ships my 9700t, I'll be able to do a side-by-side comparison of a DV9500z and a DV9700t. Until then, I'm hoping that the 9700t turns in similar results as the C2D reference system provided by SiSoft.

Anybody want to post their 9700t SiSoft Cache and Memory results?? These are from v2008.1.13.12

Same test, same software, work laptop: Dell D630 C2D T7300, 2gb RAM. This definitely validates my jump to Intel.

amd really needs to up their game if they want to stay competitive. the lower price tag is usually overwhelmed by underwhelming performance.

perhaps they should collaborate tightly with the linux community to provide better support for the few who are willing to sacrifice performance to root for the underdog.
